Our mission is to improve lives through the caring power of community.

United Way of Greater St. Joseph works toward our mission by focusing on three essential building blocks of good life important to everyone:

     1) Health
     3) Education
 
We work to advance these three priorities by meeting immediate needs and by addressing the underlying causes of problems. Ultimately, we advance the common good in the Greater St. Joseph Area and aim for lasting, positive change in people's lives.

Our local United Way supports health, financial stability, and education by investing in 18 Local Partner Agencies. Through the United Way office, seven initiatives and programs are coordinated for the community: Financial Stability, H.E.L.P., Leadership St. Joseph, Profit in Education©, Success By 6®, Unmet Needs Committee, and the Volunteer Center.
