2017 United Way Campaign Kicks Off

Sept. 11, 2017--At the United Way Campaign Kickoff last Thurs., Sept. 7, United Way of Greater St. Joseph announced its goal to raise $3,031,000 for the good of people throughout Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas.

The 2017 United Way Campaign officially began with the Kickoff event and runs through Nov. 2.

Several local companies have already completed workplace campaigns in advance of the official Campaign Kickoff to help the United Way Campaign begin with a strong start toward the goal. To date, those Pacesetter companies have pledged $919,594.15 which is 30 percent toward this year’s campaign goal.

This year’s 16 Pacesetter companies are listed below: Ag Processing, Inc.; Altec Industries, Inc.; American Family Mutual Insurance Company; Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Stein & Summers Real Estate; CliftonLarsonAllen; Commerce Bank; Dillon Company; Nestle Purina PetCare; O’Malley Beverage; Polsinelli PC; Purina Animal Nutrition; ReeceNichols Ide Capital Realty, LLC; River Bluff Architects; Target; UPS; and Vektek.

In addition, United Way and United Way Partner Agencies have completed their workplace campaigns.

The United Way Campaign is possible thanks to many hardworking volunteers. Ron Auxier, a Principal Architect at Ellison-Auxier Architects, is the 2017 volunteer Campaign Chair.
