United Way of Greater St. Joseph is proud to recognize Carlo Smith as a recipient of the United Way TEAM PLAYER Award, presented in partnership with the St. Joseph Mustangs. Carlo will be honored during the St. Joseph Mustangs game on Friday, June 19, and will have the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch as part of this special recognition celebrating outstanding community volunteers.
The United Way TEAM PLAYER Award recognizes individuals and groups who exemplify the spirit of teamwork by putting others first and dedicating their time and talents to strengthening our community. The award celebrates volunteers who make a meaningful impact through service, leadership and community involvement.
Carlo was nominated by the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce Diplomats Club for his outstanding dedication to St. Joseph and the local business community.
A familiar face at Chamber events and ribbon cuttings, Carlo is always willing to lend his support and help celebrate local businesses' success. Whether welcoming a new business to the community or attending events that promote local growth and development, Carlo consistently demonstrates his commitment to making St. Joseph a stronger and more vibrant place.
Known for his positive attitude and enthusiasm, Carlo serves as a strong advocate for St. Joseph and the business community. He is a champion for local organizations and takes pride in helping others succeed. His encouraging presence and willingness to get involved have made him a valued member of the Chamber Diplomats and a respected community volunteer.
Although retired, Carlo remains incredibly active. In addition to volunteering throughout the community, he continues to work with Hy-Vee and East Hills Cleaners. He generously shares his time, talents and energy to support others and contribute to the quality of life in St. Joseph.
