United Way of Greater St. Joseph is proud to recognize Ryan Christiansen as a recipient of the United Way TEAM PLAYER Award, presented in partnership with the St. Joseph Mustangs. Ryan will be honored during Friday's St. Joseph Mustangs game and will be recognized on the field as part of this special celebration of outstanding community volunteers.
The United Way TEAM PLAYER Award recognizes individuals and organizations that exemplify the spirit of teamwork by putting others first and dedicating their time and talents to strengthening our community. The award celebrates volunteers who make a meaningful impact through service, leadership and community involvement.
Ryan was nominated for his outstanding commitment to volunteer service and his dedication to helping others throughout the St. Joseph community.
For several years, Ryan has been a familiar face at United Way volunteer activities. He first became involved through United Way Reading Adventure and has since volunteered with children at six different schools and summer programs, helping encourage a love of reading while supporting children's academic success.
Ryan also serves as a United Way Community Investment (Allocations) volunteer, helping review community needs and recommend funding for United Way Partner Agencies. Through this important role, he helps ensure donor dollars are invested where they can make the greatest impact across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas.
In addition, Ryan is a regular participant in United Way Caring Connection Crew volunteer projects, helping assemble meal kits and other essential supplies for local families. He is always willing to share his experience with first-time volunteers, helping them feel welcome, confident and connected as they begin giving back.
Known for his positive attitude and willingness to step up wherever help is needed, Ryan leads by example. Whether volunteering his own time or encouraging family members to join him in serving others, he demonstrates that meaningful community change begins with people who are willing to show up and make a difference.
Through his leadership, generosity and heart for service, Ryan exemplifies the values of the United Way TEAM PLAYER Award. His dedication continues to strengthen our community and inspire others to become involved.
