ST. JOSEPH, MO. – United Way of Greater St. Joseph is now accepting nominations for the 2026 TEAM PLAYER Award, inviting the community to recognize volunteers who make a meaningful impact across local nonprofits and organizations.
The TEAM PLAYER Award, presented in partnership with the St. Joseph Mustangs, celebrates individuals and groups who embody the spirit of teamwork by putting the success of others first and contributing their time and talents to strengthen the community.
Volunteers play a critical role in the success of nonprofit organizations. Without their dedication, many programs and services would not be possible. This award highlights those who go above and beyond to support others and encourages continued volunteerism throughout the region.
Honoring Volunteers at Mustangs Games
Selected recipients will be recognized during Friday night home games throughout the 2026 St. Joseph Mustangs season. Honorees will receive:
- On-field recognition during pregame festivities
- A Certificate of Appreciation
- Admission for themselves and one guest
- United Way T-Shirt
- Recognition on United Way social media
Nominations Open to the Community
United Way encourages nonprofits, organizations and individuals to submit nominations for volunteers who have made a positive impact. There is no limit to the number of nominations submitted; however, a separate form must be completed for each individual or group.
Nomination deadline: Friday, May 15 at 11:59 p.m.
Nominators should note that submitting the form does not automatically collect contact information unless it is provided within the submission.
Selection Process
A committee will review all nominations (names redacted) and select recipients. United Way will contact nominators to confirm both the nominators' and the recipient’s availability to attend a designated Mustangs game.
Recipients must be present at the scheduled game to receive full recognition.
