Associate Degree and Bachelor’s Degree Seeking Students
Summer 2026 Semester
United Way Success By 6® is awarding a limited number of partial scholarships for the Summer 2026 semester to teachers in early care and education programs pursuing further education in early childhood and intending to remain in the profession in Buchanan, Andrew, or Doniphan counties.
These scholarships will cover 90% of tuition, required books, and required fees for an approved class after all other funding has been applied. The approved class must be required for graduation, and recipients are responsible for earning a passing grade in it.
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for a United Way Success By 6® scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Currently work a minimum of 30 hours per week in a licensed or license-exempt early care and education setting
- Work at a program that accepts Missouri subsidy or offers other tuition supports
- Currently work in an eligible county: Buchanan, Andrew, or Doniphan
- Have at least one year of work and/or volunteer experience in an early care and education setting prior to applying
- Attend an accredited higher education institution
- Be pursuing an associate's or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related degree
- Commit to one year of work in an early care and education setting in Buchanan, Andrew, or Doniphan counties after receiving the scholarship
- Be prepared to earn a passing grade in the funded class
Failure to meet any of these requirements may jeopardize eligibility for United Way Success By 6® scholarships.
Required Financial Aid Steps
Applicants are required to pursue all available sources of financial aid before submitting this application, including:
FAFSA
Applicants must complete the FAFSA as part of the financial aid process.
TEACH Early Childhood Missouri
Applicants must also apply for TEACH Early Childhood Missouri scholarships.
Applicants who are not in good standing with TEACH will not be considered until their obligations to TEACH have been satisfied.
Application Deadline
Completed applications and required attachments must be received by 12:00 p.m. on April 10, 2026, for full consideration.
