Returning Scholarship Recipient Application
United Way Success By 6® is awarding a limited number of scholarships to teachers in early care and education programs who are pursuing further education in early childhood and intend to remain in the early care and education profession in Buchanan, Andrew, or Doniphan counties.
Eligible Degree Programs
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Criteria for Eligibility

Must currently work 30+ hours per week in a licensed or license-exempt early care and education setting

Program must accept Missouri subsidy or offer other tuition support

Must work in an eligible county: Buchanan, Andrew, or Doniphan

Must have 1+ year of experience (paid or volunteer) in an early care setting

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Must attend an accredited higher education institution

Must be pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood or related field

Must commit to one additional year working in an eligible county after receiving the scholarship
Required Financial Aid Applications
- FASFA
- All applicants must submit a FAFSA application.
- TEACH Early Childhood Missouri
- Apply for TEACH MO scholarships as part of your aid process.
Failure to meet any of the above criteria may jeopardize an applicant’s eligibility for United Way Success By 6® scholarships.
Completed applications must be received by noon on June 20, 2025 for full consideration.
