United Way PACE

You are invited to join United Way PACE (Partners & Agencies Collaborating & Educating), a learning series for agencies in our area. The goals of the learning series are to help increase capacity, aid staff as they are working with clients and improve collaboration. A variety of topics will be offered for all levels of staff.

Upcoming Sessions:

  • The Basics of Addiction
    • October 18 at 10:00 a.m.
    • Presented by Family Guidance Center, this session will cover the basics of addiction, how addiction is treated, challenges with treatment and tips for working with someone who has an addiction. The session will also highlight harm reduction strategies and adolescent substance abuse.
  • Resources 101
    • November 1 at 10:00 a.m.
    • These sessions will be offered on a quarterly basis. Each session is geared to new agency staff and will provide them with a base understanding of agencies, resources and services available in the St. Joseph community.
  • Working with Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
    • November 8 at 12:00 p.m.
    • Presented by UCP, this session will provide a basic understanding of what is an intellectual disability as well as strategies and tips for working with and supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
